Internet CSR - Job Description

Summary: The Internet CSR will serve as the front-line voice and face for – a preeminent and fast-growing Internet Service Provider serving customers in the Jackson & Matagorda county regions. 

Responsibilities & Duties: The successful candidate will staff the front desk in the Internet Department at the Bay City office, where they will greet incoming customers, answer basic questions regarding our service, handle bill payment, answer phones, and create and create & direct work tickets.

There will also be some clerical duties, including, but not limited to: filing, assembly and mailing of paper invoices; scanning; etc.

There may also be some occasional backup responsibilities to CSRs’ duties on the power and/or propane business side as well.

The Internet Customer Service Representative shall be required to perform any other duties assigned in order to fulfill the objective of the Cooperative.

Reporting Relationship: The candidate will report to the Business Development Manager and the Manager of IT & ISP.  This position will also be trained to become a backup to the Internet Sales Manager.

Required Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills; Great attention to detail; Adaptable to changing work environment; Ability to work with a variety of people under varying circumstances; Excellent customer-service skills; Familiarity with internet technology; Multi-line phone skills; Basic to intermediate MSOffice 365 skills (Word & Excel); familiarity with IT Helpdesk software; Miscellaneous clerical functions.

Qualifications: 1+ years in a similar role (public contact position); High School diploma or GED; Proficient in use of computer.

Optional Desired Skills/Qualifications: Experience with Azotel and SolarWinds Help Desk; Associate’s Degree or higher.
